Capital Renovation Project of the New Building of the National Children’s Specialized Hospital “Ohmatdyt”
Role of the Foundation
The Ohmatdyt – Healthy Childhood Foundation joined the hospital’s recovery as a financial partner. The Foundation funds the capital renovation of the new medical and diagnostic building through contracts awarded via the Prozorro system.
Project Financing
The project has been financing in stages, through advance payments and tranches, with financial and technical control at every stage.
To date, the Foundation has made seven advance payments.
After the fifth payment, the hospital warned of a possible pause in the works. According to the hospital, internal organizational processes could temporarily affect the construction pace.
To keep the renovation moving and avoid a pause in the works, the Foundation increased the advance payment from 30% to 40%, in line with the contract terms. We have now completed this final 40% advance payment, fully meeting its financial commitments.
Key Financing Stages:
As of today, the Foundation has fulfilled its financial obligations within the project.

About the Project
On July 8, 2024, as a result of a missile strike, the buildings of Okhmatdyt National Children’s Specialized Hospital — one of the key pediatric centers in Ukraine — were damaged. That day, the hospital suffered serious losses: people were killed, and part of the departments could not operate at full capacity.
Project Status
During construction, the project required updates to the design documentation. The revised documentation was approved on November 21, 2025, based on an expert assessment. The project also faced delays in the delivery of certain construction materials.
Taking these factors into account, the parties agreed to extend the completion deadline until March 31, 2026. This decision was formalized through an additional agreement.
The hospital has since initiated another update to the design documentation, which is currently under review.
All information related to procurement, contracts, and additional agreements is publicly available in the Prozorro system.
Donation Terms

If the project cannot be fully implemented or the fundraising purpose becomes no longer relevant, the remaining funds may be used by the Foundation for other charitable projects in accordance with its statutory activities.
By making a donation, the donor agrees to the possible reallocation of funds and confirms that the donation is voluntary and non-refundable.
