Why might a request be declined?

We may not be able to support a request if it does not fit our focus areas or if there is not enough medical or technical justification. We also cannot consider requests that fall under the direct responsibility of the state and should be covered by public funding. Our focus is on cases where charitable support can truly strengthen the healthcare system, rather than replace its basic functions.
