With the beginning of this inspiring initiative, a talented artist creates twelve enchanting art objects "Brave Kitten", each symbolizing the story of one of the twelve brave patients of Ohmatdyt. This creative process starts from the moment when a child, under the guidance of a famous ambassador, develops a sketch of the future sculpture on paper. The little artists pour a piece of their soul into the design of the kittens, making them a reflection of their unique stories and struggles.
At the culmination of the project, the artist in his studio brings these ideas to life, transforming each kitten into a unique, limited edition art object. These are not just figurines – they are symbols of hope, bravery, and the endless imagination of children fighting for their health. By drawing public attention to the important mission of Ohmatdyt, each "Brave Kitten" tells its story, calling for support and understanding. We are excited to announce this thrilling initiative that brings together hearts and talents for the benefit of the children at Ohmatdyt. Our project unites Ukrainian celebrities - outstanding artists, journalists, athletes, and philanthropists, each becoming part of a unique story of assistance, forming duos with patients of our hospital.
On the streets of Kyiv and on the walls of capital's establishments, street stickers and art installations come to life, thanks to photos of our ambassadors with patients. Each sticker contains a QR code that leads to our charity box - assistance is literally at the feet of passersby.
This year, on June 1st, the symbolic Children's Protection Day, we will hold a charity auction where we will present unique art objects. These will be exclusive sculptures, materialized from the designs of the children and their celebrity partners, each telling a unique story of struggle and hope. All funds raised from the auction will go to support our little heroes at Ohmatdyt.
Among the stars who have already joined the charitable cause are Volodymyr Zhovnir, Alena Omargalieva, Vladyslav Vashchuk, and MONATIK.

PROJECT AMBASSADORS
Meet the person with a huge heart - Volodymyr Zhovnir, the General Director of NCSH "Ohmatdyt" and Honored Doctor of Ukraine, who has taken on the role of ambassador for our project to shed light on the incredible stories of struggle and hope of our patients.
At the heart of our attention is Solomiya, a 15-year-old girl from Rivne (the first participant of the charity-art project), whose spirit's strength and love for life inspire. Born with a congenital defect, Solomiya is battling chronic kidney failure and is waiting for a kidney transplant, but her relentless optimism and talent for drawing cats testify to the indomitability of her spirit.
Alena Omargalieva, a renowned singer and the lead vocalist of the duo TamerlanAlena, proudly represents the project as an ambassador, sharing the light and warmth of her heart with those who need support the most.
The story of Ksenia, a young warrior from Chernihiv (the second participant of the charity-art project), who suffered from Russian aggression, tells of courage in the darkest of times.
On August 19, 2023, the girl was near the Drama Theater in Chernihiv. She and a friend were selling handmade bracelets to help our military. But at that moment, Russian occupiers hit the city center with an Iskander ballistic missile, and the debris struck 12-year-old Ksenia. She sustained injuries to her legs, forearm, lacerations, and severe injury to her right hand: bones, muscles, and skin were affected!
Doctors in Chernihiv provided the first aid to the child, who was later transferred to the capital's Ohmatdyt hospital.
She continues to receive treatment there, having already undergone many surgeries, with more interventions and a long period of rehabilitation ahead.
Her unshakable will to live and dream of a future as a designer are testaments to the indomitable spirit of the Ukrainian people.
Vladyslav Vashchuk, a former Ukrainian footballer, now a defender of Ukraine in the ranks of the National Guard, joins us as an ambassador, embodying strength, courage, and faith in victory.
Our tireless fighter, 10-year-old Vladik from Bucha (the third participant of the charity-art project), was forced to leave his hometown at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, which was soon occupied, and his house partially destroyed! His battle with congenital scoliosis and the consequences of the war is awe-inspiring! From a young age, he underwent conservative treatment, and not so long ago, he had an extremely complex surgery on the cervical section of his spine that lasted over 12 hours. One of his most cherished wishes - to meet and interact with a real footballer - was fulfilled by Vladyslav Vashchuk.
He aspires to fulfill his dream of a healthy future in a peaceful Ukraine.
