The thoracic surgery unit at Okhmatdyt has received an essential new tool - a modern operating table designed specifically for complex chest surgeries.

Thanks to this equipment, the new department, which has been operating for only about a year, can now perform surgeries with a high level of precision and safety. This marks an important step in building a fully functional thoracic surgery service for children.

The table is more than metal and mechanics. In complex surgeries, every detail matters: proper body positioning, stability during procedures, and precise adjustments. These features help surgeons work efficiently and allow children to undergo treatment with less stress.

Such equipment directly improves surgical quality and increases children’s chances of successful recovery.

The project became possible due to cooperation between our Foundation and Kids Need Help e. V., with the personal involvement of Manuel Diechtierow, Bernd Buchardt, and Marti Drap’yatyi.
