New Equipment for Pediatric Ophthalmology at Okhmatdyt National Children’s Specialized Hospital

The pediatric ophthalmology department at Okhmatdyt has received modern diagnostic equipment that significantly improves eye examinations for children. Thanks to charitable support, the department now uses a portable refractometer, the Adaptica 2WIN vision analyzer, and trial lens sets with frames for accurate glasses fitting.

This equipment allows doctors to examine children’s vision starting from just two months of age quickly, gently, and in a comfortable setting. The portable refractometer works outside the examination room if needed, which is especially helpful for very young patients.

The vision analyzer and trial lenses help doctors select glasses accurately and efficiently, without causing unnecessary stress. Medical teams note that diagnostics have become more precise, improving the overall quality of care.

This project is about something simple but essential: when a child’s vision is checked properly, they see the world more clearly, and their future becomes brighter too.
