Digital Bilirubinometer for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Okhmatdyt National Children’s Specialized Hospital
Modern digital bilirubinometer that makes jaundice screening faster and far more comfortable for newborns.
The device measures bilirubin levels without needles or pain, using a gentle scan through the skin. Previously, doctors had to take blood samples, which often caused stress for both babies and parents. The new device helps avoid this experience.
With the bilirubinometer, doctors can quickly assess a newborn’s condition and respond in time, while babies remain calm and undisturbed. For parents, this brings much-needed peace of mind during a very sensitive period.
The equipment was purchased thanks to participants of Charity Run 2023, whose donations directly improved daily care for the smallest patients.
